“As one of our first patients, Jackie Chan came in paralyzed with a herniated disc. After multiple visits with Dr. Maciulla and specialists in Phoenix, he now runs into our office greeting all the girls.”

Dr. Jim Maciulla
Dr. Jim Maciulla was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. Since childhood, he has demonstrated a compassion for animals coupled with an aptitude for science. This pairing of heart and discipline led him to a career in veterinary medicine.

In addition to the challenges mixed-animal medicine provides, Dr. Maciulla particularly enjoys building a trusting, compassionate relationship with his patients and their owners. His professional interests include soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery, laser surgery, large and small animal dentistry, and general health care for all companion animals.
Dr. Maciulla enjoys time with his wife Carrie and two daughters, Morgan and Maysen. Dr. Maciulla is currently an active member of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Alicia Bruchman
Dr. Alicia Bruchman is also an Arizona native, she was born and raised in Gilbert, along with her parents and two younger brothers. From a young age Dr. Bruchman has always had an ambition to help all creatures great and small. She recalls when Gilbert was once a "rural" community, where she could ride her horses. As a child Alicia spent two weeks a year in Flagstaff with her family. She feels like Flagstaff is her second home.
In 2005, she was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Canyon University. After four years of a higher education she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2010. While in veterinary school Alicia was very active in the large animal groups and took a particular interest in Animal Behavior, Dermatology and Ophthalmology.
Outside of the office Dr. Bruchman loves to take advantage of our outdoors, spending time with her husband Max, playing with her German Sheparp's Eclipse and Na Pali, as well as horseback riding with her new horse Lakota. She loves cooking and claims it is a stress reliever for her.
We are very excited to welcome Alicia to our family!
CC, Our Clinic Cat
“Clinic Cat” stands for many things, depending on the day. Two years ago during a typical Flagstaff monsoon storm CC appeared at our back door, tiny and dripping wet. She was so small she would sleep on the Credit Card machine, another meaning to her name.
CC has been a huge part of our lives and the lives of clients and patients in our practice. We call her “The Boss” and the PR Director. On a more somber note, she has an ability to read people’s feelings. Those days when we have a worried client waiting for their pet during surgery, CC will cuddle up with them and radiate a sense of comfort. On the flip side, CC has a wild side to her personality and has been known to escape from the clinic in the cat carriers of our clients.
CC has touched many lives, both four legged and two. We hope she lives forever.
